The Game

I know I'm posting a lot recently. I guess I just have a lot to say. And I have way too much time on my hands. I should use it productively. But I won't. Yay hypocrisy.

So. The game. It starts with a look, a smile, a dance, an embrace, a kiss. These little victories are deceptive because, despite your most desperate wishes, you're just signing up for the biggest battle of your life. Every word, every text, every opinion is being judged. At first, it's thrilling. Especially when the challenger is so skilled. But after a while, it gets exhausting. The game isn't supposed to last forever; it's sole purpose, a mon avis, is to introduce players of like mind and heart. After the game comes the true relationship, if a relationship is there. No spectacular amount of potential can break through the personal barrier that people build up if that potential cannot first break through the barrier of flirtation to the territory of being real. I guess what I'm saying is that, I like playing the game, but there's got to be more to falling for someone than a few well-strategized moves. And if not, get thee to a nunnery.
